THE SURPRISE MARCHED THROUGH THE DOOR!

Thank goodness for Thursday nights! I always look forward to leaving the work day behind, gathering my knitting bags and settling in for a great evening with friends. By seven o clock the knitting crew arrived and I was happy as a clam.
A few days ago, my good friend Deb's husband called. He had this great idea to surprise his wife for her birthday with her favorite ice cream cake. He and his daughter were going to wait till she got to the shop and it was my job to distract her while they sneaked in and set everything up.

Here they are smiling for the camera after a well executed covert birthday operation! The happy birthday girl! The yummy Carvel Ice Cream Chocolate CakeThere weren't too many candles for Deb to blow out. They didn't stand a chance! The frosting didn't stand a chance either!

If that wasn't enough, three of her friends walked in half an hour later with ANOTHER cake!!
By that time we were all caked out and they decided to take it home and have an extended birthday party later on in the evening.
We felt very special that Deb's family went out of their to make it possible for us to share this day with her! It was a lot of fun!

So to our good friend Deb..........HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
