PUTTING OUR EGGS IN A........BAG??

Market bag, that is! We don't care that it was bone chilling cold yesterday! Daylights saving is in effect next weekend which means we are springing ahead with style!! We have a wonderful series of market bag patterns which are waiting to be made by you so that when the weather finally warms up and the Farmer's Markets are full swing, you will be READY!!

Paula knit up this great market bag using Takhi Cotton Classic.
Here it is hung up so you can see exactly how long it is. Think of all the fresh fruits and veggies you can stuff in there!!
Dottie crocheted this fab mesh market bag!
As if it weren't special enough, it rolls up inside itself! Looks like a little clam, doesn't it?
It's no wonder it is one of our favorite bags here at Woolworks!
Tasha designed this yummy market basket using Mission Falls 1824 Cotton.Again, these market bags have so much room!!Here is another crocheted market bag! The varieties never cease!

All of these patterns are available here at the shop. We will be running a series of classes in April so we are certain many of you will join the fun!

Sooooooo.........about those eggs fore mentioned in the title. What's that about, you ask? Well, I'll tell you! (wouldn't it be rude if I just left all of you hanging and wondering? Would I actually do something like that to you?? Hmmmmm.....ahhhhh......nah nah!)

Nancy Shay is one of our favorites here at Woolworks. She is a local artist and instructor who works out of Tree Top Studios, which she calls her "attic studio" I have been there on a couple of occasions and just walking through her house to get to the stairs that lead to her studio is like taking a trip to an exclusive museum. Her work is amazing!

One of her specialties is designing Pysanky, or Ukrainian Easter Eggs. For those of you who have never seen one of these lovely traditional works of art, here are a few images to gawk at.

These aren't your normal Easter Eggs, are they? Well, Nancy, in her infinite state of kindness has scheduled a special workshop for the Woolworks crew.....that means all of you!! YAY!!

The class is on Tuesday, March 16th, beginning at 6:30 and ending at 9:00. Sign up begins immediately so please do not dilly dally because we need to tell her how many beaming faces she can expect! You can leave a comment here on the blog, call the shop, or come in and physically sign in. Any of those methods work! The fee is 30 dollars, which is a steal, since we are supplied with everything we need and we get to learn from the best!! We are very excited.

So, there. I've explained the eggs! Now have a great day! Happy knitting and crocheting to all of you!
