So, after all the talk and hype, our little town of Putnam got a mere dusting compared to what our New England neighbors shoveled themselves out of! Hey, we're not complaining and neither were any of the kids who got to stay home due to school cancellations.
Our Hiya Hiya 9 inch circular needles should be in by this Saturday, so I hope you all have your thinking caps on and are designing marvels for the contest. If you have any questions on how to get started or need people to bounce ideas off of, we always have plenty of people at the shop who are willing to listen and help you get started.
Tuesday night was our repeat class of the Elizabeth Zimmerman Baby Surprise Jacket (or the BSJ, as the world knows it), and the girls had a great time. You know the pattern is cute when most of the ladies that joined the class don't know anyone who has a baby......yet!! Here they are getting started:It's no wonder they wanted to make it though, since the BSJ I made for the shop using Jojoland's Rhythm turned out so darn cute!
And here's the BSJ that Dottie made using Encore Sock. If you ask me, even though it's a different look, it's still just as cute!
We are anxiously awaiting the finished projects from our girls! They are doing such a great job!
To prove that she is ready for warmer weather, Kathy McNeill decided she was going to hail spring with this awesome felted bag. She used Galway and the bag couldn't have come out better.
Kathy is usually a crocheter, but she has been branching out a little and is loving every stitch of it! So are we, come to think of it!
We are wishing you all a day of happiness and knitting and crocheting! See you soon!
