BEATING THE AGONY OF "DE-FEET"

We chuckle a little bit when our customers say "Oh my gosh! You're making socks??? I would never do that!" And of course we ask them why and they always seem to have a plethora of reasons to explain their way out of having to make hand knitted socks. Here are a few of them:

It looks too complicated.
There are WAY to many needles.
The yarn is soooooooooooo tiny.....it's like knitting with thread.
Why make hand made socks when you can just buy them? (that one's my personal favorite)

Ummmmmmm........and NO!!! Socks are incredibly fun to make, they are small which makes them portable and they are useful all year round. Don't you think it's about time you showed your feet a little love? We do, so we have an assortment of books here at Woolworks that will not only get you started on socks, but will inspire you to always have a pair going. Come on in and check them out!And if those don't get you going, make sure to sign up for our Hat Heel class at the beginning of April! The construction of these clever socks makes a pair of plain old socks a definite conversation piece. So what are you waiting for? Make some socks! Your feet will love you for it!!

Happy Knitting and Crocheting!
